Forming process

This is the key step in shaping glass cups, which is mainly divided into the following processes according to product grade and purpose.

1.Glass tube cutting：We need to prepare glass tubes that meet the design diameter and cut them to the design height.

2.Bottom firing：A flame torch controlled by a program automatically aims at the bottom of the cup for heating, with the temperature, angle, and heating time of the flame all precisely set.

3.Cup rim forming：Multiple sets of blowtorches (typically divided into upper and lower torch positions) are used simultaneously to apply high-temperature heating (approximately 1300°C - 1600°C) to the inner and outer walls of the cup's rim, softening and melting the glass. While the glass is in a softened state, the cup's rim is pressed using a mold (embossing mold). This step serves not only to seal the cup but also to press out threads (for screw-on lids) or rolled edges.

4.Inspection：Inspect cups by manual visual check to pick out defective ones.

5.annealing(Heat treatment)：If newly formed glass cups are cooled directly, they will develop enormous internal stress, making them very prone to breaking.

After the glass cups are formed, they are placed in an annealing furnace and cooled slowly at a controlled temperature. This process eliminates internal stresses, significantly enhancing the glass's strength and thermal stability to prevent shattering.

For bottles with painted or printed patterns, we recommend hand washing. For plain, unpatterned bottles, they can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

3.How long will my order take to arrive?

For US customers, it will need about 30 days,for EU customers,it is about 40 to 60 days,for middle east customers, it will take about 20 to 30 days.Also you can ask your shipping agent,if you have no one,we can also quota door to door shipment.

4. How many colors are available?

We use the Pantone Matching System for color matching. Therefore, you just need to tell us the Pantone color numbers you need, and we will match the colors for you. Alternatively, we can recommend some popular colors to you.

5. What format of the file do you need if I want my own design?

AI files are typically required. If it is for creating a new mold, 3D files are needed.

6. What is your payment term?

Our standard payment terms are a 30% deposit upon order confirmation, with the remaining 70% payable against a copy of the bill of lading. We also accept letters of credit at sight.
